Nostromo
Nostromo aka Xavier Guinchard
2004 vuonna aloittanut Nostromo (myös Nostro ja Nostro.fr) on edelleen yksi kovimmista AMV-tekijöistä, vaikka taiteilija julkaiseekin nykyisellään vain videon tai kaksi vuodessa sitten aloittamisensa, Nostromo on tuottanut yhteensä 33 AMV:tä, joista 5 on yhteisprojekteja. Hänen teostensa tasosta kertoo yksistään hänen teoksensa 'Auriga' keräämät tunnustukset:

Hänen videonsa tunnetaan nopeatempoisesta elektronisesta musiikista ja laajasta animekattauksesta; erityistä huomiota hän kiinnittää estetiikkaan, yksityiskohtaisiin siirtymiin, sulavaan editointiin - ja tietenkin 60fps-interpolaatioon.
Which AMV of yours do you find to be the most depicting of you as an artist?

I'd say Sky Sanctuary because it required the use of all my editing skills learnt over the years and it's also the first time that I manage to make a video that perfectly fits my initial idea. It ended up looking exactly as I pictured it. Is it really an AMV though?
Quantum Ripples is also important to me because it contains all the elements I became known for in the AMV community: upbeat electronic music, multi-anime with special care for aesthetics, elaborated transitions, smooth editing and of course 60fps interpolation.
